The women’s day of the year 2025, Purnkuti celebrated in their centers at Budhwar Peth and Vadgaon Sheri as a part of its Dhara Project, an effort to empower women with an underprivileged background through various programs. This event was a gathering of Purnkuti’s staff and its beneficiaries, graced with the presence of the event’s chief guests: Dr Kanchan Pawar and Mrs. Uma Thomas.

Mrs. Uma Thomas, the executive Vice President at Hexaware Technologies, appeared at Purnkuti’s Vadgaon Sheri Center.

Dr. Kanchan Pawar, the Director for Transgender Health at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, attended the celebration at Purnkuti’s Budhwar Peth Center.

The event featured the participation of its beneficiaries through various activities such as group dance, solo dance as well as theater. In the end, certificates and prizes were distributed among the beneficiaries as a token of appreciation for their participation. Additionally, Employees of the company Hexaware Technologies were present to conduct employee engagement activities with Purnkuti’s beneficiaries.

Lastly, return gifts were given out to all the attendees of the event for their initiative in making this event possible.
