SNEHA BHARTI

Sneha Bharti, founder of Purnkuti NGO, is a visionary leader devoted to women’s empowerment and sustainable societal change. With 12 years of experience in investment banking firms like Morgan Stanley, Citibank, JM Financial, Kotak Securities, and ATC Polaris, she brings rich corporate expertise to her philanthropic work.
In 2011, she launched Purnkuti in Bihar, focusing on improving women’s lives through health, hygiene, and education initiatives. A key initiative includes Skilling and Entrepreneurship programs that help rural women achieve self-sufficiency by creating home décor products sold via platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, and corporate exhibitions. She also founded Waterlily Public School to educate children of the women beneficiaries.
In 2016, Sneha expanded training programs to migrant women, offering courses in tailoring, beauty, and masala-making, alongside remedial education for their children. During the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, she supported 2,500 sex workers in Pune’s red-light area with ration and medical kits, and later launched vocational training, counselling, and education for sex workers, transgender individuals, and their children.
Under her leadership, Purnkuti has impacted over 2,000 women, 3,000+ female sex workers, 500+ transgender individuals, and more than 2,000+ children. Collaborating with CSR initiatives, Sneha continues to lead this volunteer-driven effort, overcoming challenges while advocating for the marginalized. Her dedication to psychological support and sustainable empowerment remains central to her mission.
