From Struggle to Success: Dimple's
Inspiring Journey
Meet Dimple, a 13-year-old girl whose life has been transformed through the power of education. This is her story of resilience, determination, and the incredible impact of targeted interventions.
A Family's Hope
Dimple comes from a hardworking family. Her father, a chef, and her mother, a box-company
worker, earn a combined monthly income of ₹18,000 to support their three children. Despite
their limited resources, they dream of a brighter future for their kids through education.
Overcoming Challenges
When Dimple first joined our Project Manosakha where we give remedial
education, she faced significant hurdles:
● Struggled with Marathi, unable to grasp Mulakshare and Barakhadi
● Difficulty in reading English and recognizing numbers
● Challenges with basic math operations
These obstacles were affecting her overall academic performance and confidence.

Our Approach: Remedial Education
To help Dimple overcome these challenges, we implemented an intervention plan:
- Interactive Marathi Learning: Using DSS tools, charts with pictures, and engaging
games.
- Leveled Reading: Providing books at different levels to improve comprehension.
- Phonics for English: Enhancing reading abilities through sound-based techniques.
- Real-life Math Applications: Using ice-cream sticks and everyday examples to make math relatable.
The Remarkable Transformation
Dimple's progress has been nothing short of extraordinary:
● First Semester Score: 67%
● Second Semester Score: An impressive 95%
Her ASER test scores also showed significant improvement:
● Marathi: Level 4 → Level 5
● Math: Level 4 → Level 5
● English: Level 3 → Level 4
